Dear Mr. Luizzi,

I think that this year moved extremely fast, I would have rather spent more time on individual topics than move quickly and cover more. All the books we read are now blended together in my head and I don't think I actually learned the vocabulary words. I have them memorized, but the lessons didn't help enough to make them something I would use in a conversation. Also, I would have much rather worked on our projects in class instead of having a separate project in and out of school. It is very confusing to work on one project in school and then go home and do something completely different.

I don't think the digital portfolios have been worthwhile projects. The HTML is not hard or anything, it's just that it's difficult to find time to upload everything and piece it together. I can compare my webpage to a puzzle. It has many different pieces that are supposed to fit together, but it takes a LOT of work to get them to be one. Even though I'm the one who designed the puzzle, I still find it extremely challenging to put together and anyone else who attempts to try and figure my puzzle out would be completely lost!

To the soon-to-be sophomores I would say that they can't fall behind. If you slack off on just one assignment, it all snowballs and by the end of the year you'll be behind, desperately trying to catch up (like our whole period 2 class is doing right now!) I would also tell that that no matter how much they whine and complain, Luizzi's not going to change him mind, so they should save their breath.

As I get ready to leave, I think that MAYBE someday I'll look back back and be greatful for the overwhelming amount of work that you gave me, but as for now, I'm relieved to know that I won't be your student next year so you can't assign me all the work. I feel sympathetic towards the freshmen who become your students because I know the English tortures they'll go through, but at the same time I feel bad for you because they are an interesting group of people. And you thought our class was tough! Good luck with them next year!

Well, it's been real. Have a good summer and try not to take too many expanding your knowledge courses for fun!
